9 Reasons to steam clean:
1. A steam cleaner will clean much deeper and more efficiently than any chemical.
2. Steam is the best way to disinfect around the house without leaving any chemical residues that would attract more dirt.
3. It’s easier, faster and more efficient to use a steam cleaner than to hire a noisy abrasive truck mount cleaner.
4. A steam cleaner allows you to accomplish THOUSANDS of cleaning applications that are usually very difficult and require expensive chemicals.
5. Steam is a truly GREEN cleaning technique. No chemicals = no pollution and a safe environment around children. You also won’t have to come into contact with chemicals that have been linked to health hazards.
6. Steam cleaning will last months longer vs. chemicals that attract re-soiling.
7. Steam is able to clean into cracks, pores and hard-to-reach places without being abrasive or harmful.
8. Steam cleaning is strongly recommended to get rid of bed bugs and to relieve people suffering from allergies.
9. When in doubt, steam it!

Why choose Rugs by Suggs
Your home’s carpet acts as a huge air filter for the entire home. And there is no carpet cleaning company in East Dallas that understands this more than Rugs by Suggs. We have studied carpet from the top down, then from the bottom up. To accredit our name we require our technicians to graduate from the II CRC Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, Restoration, and Certification. Although the II CRC Certification is all that is necessary to operate carpet cleaning equipment, Rugs by Suggs truly has the clients best interest at heart. We wanted to go above and beyond and took our research and education a step further. We have studied and tested every method of carpet cleaning; and have come to the conclusion that the Rugs by Suggs Modernized Steam Cleaning© method stands true to be the best in the industry. Rugs by Suggs Modernized Steam Cleaning© is the method of blasting high pressured, low water content, steam deep into the carpet; all the way under the padding. There are several processes and differences in the chemical applications that we use. Because our method is unique and was designed, tested to perfection, and patented by Rugs by Suggs we do not disclaim the process in it’s entirety to protect the sustenance of Rugs by Suggs. However, in its most simple form it is a highly refined process of the original Steam Cleaning method. The original method of Steam Cleaning is the number one recommended method among leading carpet manufacturers. We have simply taken this method and modernized it to be more environmentally friendly. A few added benefits of The Rugs by Suggs Modernized Steam Cleaning© method are: a substantial reduction in the necessary chemicals to achieve satisfactory, and effective stain removal, longer lasting cleanliness, and reduced re-soiling of your carpets. There is a very clear difference between Rugs by Suggs Modernized Steam Cleaning method, the original steam cleaning method, and other cheaper, short-cut methods. “No carpets left behind! We can put years of poor cleaning and wear in rewind.”©

The first method we will discuss, best known as bonnet cleaning, is a simple short-cut method in which a technician spreads a powder loaded with an optical fiber brightener into your carpets. Next, the technician mashes the dirt into the bottom layers of your carpet with a spinning bonnet cleaner. After the spinning bonnet has twisted and pulled your carpet fibers, to shine them with the optical brightener, the technician then vacuums up the brightener to leave the appearance of a clean carpet. Many customers who have received this type of cleaning complain that the bonnet cleaner simply mashed all of the stains together to create one giant blur. Most clients realize immediately that his process does not remove the stains, grime, and bacteria.© This process does not remove human hair or pet dander, nor does it kill dust mites, pest, or bacteria. The powder that is inevitably left behind attracts dirt and soil similar to rubbing shampoo into your hair then walking around in a dusty field all day.
Chemical dry cleaners use a method known as encapsulation. First the technician sprays a chemical into your carpets, then agitates the chemical into the surface fibers of your carpet. The chemical then hardens around all surface dirt and solids on top of the carpet surface. This process takes approximately 48-72 hours of dwell time. A few days later the technicians returns for a second visit, and vacuums up the encapsulates which have trapped the surface dirt. This method is more effective than bonnet cleaning, but still only cleans the surface fibers of your carpet. Chemical dry cleaning has been known to leave behind positively charged ions and causes re-soiling. This re-soiling effect will cause your carpets to have the “brown” effect in as little as one month. “This time is dependent on your foot traffic and certain variables of your home and maintenance recurrence. These variables and foot traffic amounts include; whether or not shoes are worn inside the home, type, size and number of pets, how often the carpets are vacuumed, what type of vacuum is used, and how often the homes air filter is changed.” ©
When done properly, by a trained and experienced carpet technician, the original method of Steam Cleaning is the only process that truly cleans down to the pad, and leaves zero resolution behind. This means your carpets actually get cleaner and stay cleaner for longer. Beware, There are companies that claim to use the steam cleaning method, but use similar looking machines combined with cheap shampoos to achieve their results. While the results are immediately seen and the carpets seem fresh and clean, the downside to this method is in the shampoo. Your carpets will experience the same positive ion problems as the chemical encapsulation and bonnet methods cause. Lastly, ask the technician if his unit is equipped with a heater. Many companies do not use heated machines, subsequently requiring them to use a substantial amount of water to remove surface grime. Companies that use this method are the leading cause behind all of the horror stories of carpet browning due to over-wetting.
With the Rugs by Suggs Modernized Steam Cleaning© method we deliver Steam Cleaning that is so environmentally friendly, that when we empty our recovery tanks, the waste water is PH balanced to a level safer than the waste water that comes from your household clothes washer or dish washer. This part of the process is called; neutralizing. First, we float the grime, dirt, hair, pet dander, dust mites, allergens, pest, and bacteria with a positive PH alkaline based product then we rinse your carpets with a low PH acidic “all-fiber” rinse. This leaves your carpets in a PH neutral state of 7 and helps to soften your carpets. This process restores your carpets to that brand new, comfortable feel once again. “It’s like the feeling of getting into a freshly cleaned and pressed shirt.”© Now that you’ve learned about the differences in carpet cleaning methods I think it’s time you give us a call to schedule your service today. Trust Rugs by Suggs with all of your flooring needs. We are Qualified, Certified, and Back Ground Verified.
